OSAS, or "Once Saved Always Saved," is a concept in Christianity that refers to the belief that once a person accepts Jesus Christ as their savior and becomes genuinely saved, they cannot lose their salvation. The idea is rooted in passages of scripture such as John 10:28-29, which states that no one can snatch a believer out of Jesus’ hand, and Romans 8:38-39, which explains that nothing can separate a saved person from the love of God.
However, this belief is not shared by all Christians, and some view it as a dangerous oversimplification of faith that can lead to complacency and a lack of personal responsibility. Others argue that it contradicts important Christian concepts such as repentance and faith. Ultimately, the interpretation of OSAS is left up to individual believers and their chosen denomination.
